Hi there! I'm Paola, 20 from Croatia, and I welcome you to my portfolio. Feel free to explore the learining outcomes and follow me through a journey of becoming a media designer. I've always been passionte about design and bringing that design to life with code. Apart from working in Adobe Illustrator, I also enjoy Adobe Photoshop and from recently, Blender! In the future, I aspire to become a front-end developer so that I can focus both on designing and coding. In the following section, I will provide a comprehensive overview of each learning outcome, alongside showcasing all of the projects and assignments I completed in relation to each one. This section will begin with a brief introduction to each learning outcome, highlighting its importance and relevance to my academic and professional development. Following this, I will delve into a detailed explanation of the projects and assignments that demonstrate my attainment of each learning outcome. For each project, I will describe the process from inception to completion, including the planning, research, design, implementation, and testing phases. I will detail my specific role and responsibilities within the project, outlining the skills and knowledge I applied.

INTERACTIVE MEDIA PRODUCTS

The student orients in the relevant tech, media and design landscape, while creating interactive media products that is tested with the users and stakeholders. This can be done with tools such as Figma, where the prototype is crafted to be clickable and interactive. To ensure the product is user-friendly, it has to be put in the hands of the actual users, to observe how they use it, gather feedback and refine the product based on their experiences.

VERSION CONTROL ENVIRONMENT

The student explores front-end development languages (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), writes code and documents in a version control environment. Code comments explain the purpose and use of the different code parts, to provide clarity to others and the students themselves. Git usage is there to track the students progress and changes, allowing for smooth collaboration and version control in web development endavors.

ITERATIVE DESIGN

The student explores and uses professonal design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and proves that they know how to use the right tool for the right job. It is expected that the student has several options before delivering the final version to prove iteration. Layouts and media products look visualy appealing. The deisgn is validated and the student is able to provide knowledgeable reasons behind their decisions.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARD

The student applies professional practice, both individually and in teams, in the areas of project organisation, communication with the stakeholders, exploratory research, and reporting. This involves learning the basics of setting goals, creating timelines and dividing the tasks acordingly. It also includes effective communication, presenting ideas verbally, while including the stakeholders as well. .

PERSONAL LEADERSHIP

The student takes the initiative in asking for, and reflecting on, feedback. This means considering the feedback thoughtfully and using it to make improvements. This approach is crucial for personal growth and development. The student also dentifies their own core values that are most important for them, concerning the professional they want to be.
